Have you thought about it? Well, I had a go and I think, yes, what matters is what it is. Like, let's say em....a star! We all know there are millions of stars out there in the sky....obviously after the bing bang! On a night, while I was gazing at them, so many out there, shining without any complications or ego against each other, they were just shining. That's what they do isn't it? They are stars, they don't think and love to make things complicated. No star is superior over the other. But, what about sun? Yes, sun is also a star, compared to others, this is a useful star to the earth and an important star as it gives light to the planet. But, that doesn't make it any different from other stars as far as the stars are concerned. Other stars also have the same qualities as the sun, but unlike sun they are too far away from the earth. But, may be they are close to some other planet and be a useful star like sun. So, what matters is what it is isn't it?
Now, let's look at some stars below the sky! We normally say "you are a star" or "you are a super star". We don't refer them to any particular star. However, as you know, a famous person is said to be a star. There are lots of stars , I mean famous people. We all know and some of us or rather many wouldn't mind being a star. Why would anyone mind? So why are these people called stars? What do they do? And look at these cricketers in India.....
Just while my mind kept thinking this way, it also took me to my good old days.....wow! Those good old days, really nice. Looking forward for weekends, birthday parties, summer holidays....wow! Most of the time, we friends played cricket. Well, we used to play in a play ground in those days. I hardly see young people playing in open grounds these days. I just thought.....we used to play so much of cricket and how would it have been if that game had been my profession today. My thought process also took me a little further. For a moment, I also imagined if someone interviewed me (as a star) and asked me which is the match that I can never forget :) Yes, one of the best matches that I remember is a match when my team required 18 runs off the last three balls of the match and I was batting! Mmmm, I think you guessed it right....I scored 18 runs in those last three balls. Well, that was a really really tough and glorious task when I did that. Today, good for the game, it is seen as a possibility in T20. The opponent team was very convinced prior to bowling the first ball off the three balls. Fielders displayed a body language that they have done it, they were relaxed and waiting for the bowler to finish his bowling so that they could run to the pavillion with glory. The bowler bowls the first ball, I hit that for a straight six! Everyone applauds including the opponent team, they still feel that they are in the game and then, the second one goes for a real biggy! The fielders manage to get the ball back which had gone outside the park. Now, the opponents are thinking what's gonna happen next and while they are thinking, they move to the edge of the boundary rope, but I manage to clear the rope very convincingly. None could believe what they saw. But, it was a great match. A star performance! Then, my mind said, isn't this feeling of winning glory same as what a super star feels? Yes, so what is the difference? The so called super star is treated like a super star.....so was I by my team mates. So, what matters is what it is......but this, is forgotten by many and known only to few stars. Why only few? That's because these stars are below the sky!
